Altered Lunch Pail
FINALLY, I got an actual project completed! My daughter has just loved her 3rd grade teacher and her teacher has been wonderful to her. So I created this altered lunch pail as a gift to her. I'm including a disposable camera and a gift certificate for photo development for her to take a photo of each one of her students and affix to one per page. I created a pocket on the last page where I have inserted a letter that my daughter wrote to her teacher. I also created a little school scene on the bottom of the pail using left over 3D stickers. I certainly hope she enjoys it.

Endless Entertainment

Yesterday, before taking the kids to the movies, the kids and I stopped at the pet store to pick up supplies for Zoe, Butterscotch, and Disco, as well as the fish at school. I finally took the plunge and purchased a cat tree for our newest addition, Butterscotch. We acquired him about 6 weeks ago at an animal shelter. Anyway, I paid for the cat tree, but asked them to hold it until today. My husband just brought it home a few moments ago. We put Butterscotch on it, showing him all the levels and the tunnel. He hasn't left it since. He is cracking us up with his antics. The tunnel to the cat tree has a face of a cat with long wiskers, which he loves to play with. It's a total riot when he pops his head out of the hole at the top of the tunnel and attacks the top level. Every now and then, he gets on the top level and stares up the wall. I can just imagine that he is trying to figure out whether or not he could climb higher. He is one of the funniest, and definitely the sweetest cats that I have ever had.

A Blessed Day
Well, here goes my first post. Not sure that this is something I'll continue. I'll just have to see.

Anyway, I had a wonderful day with my family. I slept in for starters. That always gets my day off to a good start. Later in the afternoon, I took the kids to see "The Wild". Dalton was better behaved at this movie than any other movie prior. I guess he's growing up. BooHoo. After, I took the kids into Sears, where we waited on Daddy to close up the store. In the meantime, I bought the kids some clothes. There were some great sales going on. Once the store was locked up, we all went to dinner at Kelsey's. From there Rodney took Dalton home and Hannah and I drove to the school to add some medication to the fish tank and get my laptop to finish the last presentation of the school year for tomorrow and to pick up some papers to grade. So that was my blessed day.

Now only 7 school days left!!
