I love watching tutorials on YouTube and since I love to teach and I love scrapbooking and stamping, I thought it might be fun to make my own. I've been working on a video for several days now and my daughter has been a tremendous help in setting up my "channel". I've been amazed at all she knows about not only the computer, but all kinds of editing, graphic and free music websites. If I didn't know better, I would think she's been developing web pages on the side or something. lol.
The video was a lot of work, but I think that's mostly due to the learning curve involved. At any rate, I'm pretty pleased with my first attempt. It's actually a tutorial on how to make the "Wild Thing" card below...several techniques...so my next project will narrow down to maybe only one or two techniques and I've got to learn to "condense". I'm too wordy, probably a result of teaching 8th graders. ;) I know I have a lot to learn, but I have confidence that I will get better at it. My biggest obstacle is learning to overcome my shyness and fear...more fear than shyness, I suppose. If I can do that, I think my naturally silly personality will come out. My favorite YouTuber is Tresa Black, a.k.a. The Stamp Goddess. She is sooooo funny. I watch and rewatch her videos (not only to learn), but honestly, just to have a good laugh! If you've never checked her out, I highly recommend that you do. Of course, after you browse my blog. :)
I just checked the status of my video, as it is common for it to take a few moments to load, but apparently there is something wrong with the format, so now I'm off to figure out how to fix it. My computer expert is in bed, so I may be better off waiting until tomorrow. Oh well...I'll update you on the status tomorrow.
