Thank You...another H2H Entry

As I wrote about in yesterday's post, the H2H challenge was to create something with a Halloween theme or use a pumpkin or two (for those of us who don't celebrate Halloween).  My dilema was...I don't own any CTMH pumpkin stamps, so I had to think outside the box to figure out how to create a pumpkin out of something another way.  I pulled out my paper piecing patterns and came up with yesterday's card post.  I then pulled out several of my stamp sets to try and get know, non-pumpkin stamps, yet something that I could create a pumpkin with.  I've got two ideas in my lil' 'ol brain using those that I may try and make today.  I also have two ideas that came from blog of those is also in my noggin'.  The card below was inspired by an idea I've seen in several place using ribbon to create flowers.  I decided to give it a try myself and use the shape to create a pumpkin.  I think it turned out pretty cute...if I say so myself.

I cut two 1 1/2" x 6" strips and one 2" x 6" strip of CTMH B&T paper from the Olivia My Reflections Level 2 Paper Pack and a 6 x 12 piece of Cocoa carstock.  I embossed the the carstock and inked the the B&T paper.

I hand-cut the stem out of a piece of scrap Cocoa carstock and added some penning detail. I also hand-cut the leaves out of a piece of Olivia B&T scrap, inked the edges with Pear Exclusive Ink and lightly crumbled it before gluing it in place. I then used a spiral clip from the Mini-medley Accent Pewter Embellishment Pack.

I created the pumpkin by gluing the end of Natural twill ribbon to the center of a scrap piece of cardstock and twisting it as I worked around and around...gluing the ribbon down as I worked.  I then sponged some Sunset and Cocoa Exclusive inks on top of the ribbon.

I wrapped a piece of Cocoa grograin ribbon around the B&T and then tied another piece of ribbon around around it.  On a scrap piece of B&T paper, I stamped "Thank You" in Pear Exclusive Inks.  The stamp is from a consultant stamp set.  I then trimmed the paper and sponged the paper with Sunset Exclusive ink.  I used some of CTMH's newest products...Opaques Mocha Adhesive embellish the sentiment.
