Special "Pair-a-Phrase" Blog Hop

Welcome to a special edition Blog Hop for the promotional stamp set called...

So some brilliant consultant (I think it was Helen) came up with the idea of having a blog hop using this very cool set.  This hop is like most any blog hop and makes a circle. So, if you are starting here just continue until you make your way back and you will have made it through them all.  If you have already started and are coming from Shannon Beck's blog, "Card's From the Farm", then you are on the right track.

There's soooooo much that can be done with this stamp set and only wish I had had more time to play.  But with school starting this past week, three blog hops (whatever was I thinking?), and other obligations, I only had time to come up with one project.  I got the seal of approval from my daughter.  She said it was her favorite card I've ever done.  I just think she likes the color and the fact that there aren't any flowers on it, but I still had to put some ribbon on it.  LOL

I cut just about everything with the new Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge, available only through Close To My Heart.  The only thing I didn't cut with the Cricut was the card base and the owl.  To create some dimension to my tree, I sanded the tree trunk in one direction with the roughest grain of sand paper.  I then used it on the tree "leaves" in small circles, then applied a little ink to my sponge and wiped it over the sanded circles, to help create some dimension to the tree.  The sentiment is stamped in Colonial white pigment ink.
