July's Cards, Etc. Workshop

Did you know that last month I began holding a monthly card workshop?  I call it Cards, Etc.  At the workshop, we create two cards and one 3D or altered item.  It only costs $5 to attend and it's free if you place a minimum $25 order.  Not a bad deal, huh?

The workshop featured the same line of paper as last night's scrapbooking workshop...Footloose.  If you would like to make one of these projects, just contact me to schedule a home gathering.  I'll bring the supplies, you invite the friends.  Easy peasy!
Here's the first project....

We used the stamp set "Quick Card - Shell" and Stardust Glitz Glitter Glue.

I used a sketch by Freshly Made Sketches to create this card.
Here's the second project.

I actually added the baker's twine after the workshop.  Sometimes, I just can't stop "adding" to a project.
We used the stamp set "Kick Back" for this project, as well as several shapes from the Art Philosophy Cricut Collection.
The design element on this box was actually inspired by a card that I saw a couple of weeks ago by the phenomenally talented CTMH consultant, Allisa Chilton.

The final project was pretty much CASE'd from another off-the-charts talented CTMH consultant, Tresa Black.  I so loved how she cut the cardstock into strips and the overall look of her card.  However, I chose to use the fish image from the "Under the Sea" stamp set, rather than the starfish.

Another thing I did after the workshop, was to stamp another fish and trim out the pectoral fin (yes, I'm a science and glued the right side to the body and popped the left side with a little piece of foam tape.  Fun, huh?

Next month's Cards, Etc. workshop will be on Saturday, July 7th at 3 p.m. and will feature the paper, Victory.  Hope to see you there!

Until next time...
