You can always tell when school is starting and ending. I disappear from the blogging world. :( I must say I've missed it. I do enjoy blogging, but it does take a lot of work to maintain and the job that pays the bills has to take the priority. (Boo!) What little spare time I do have during this time of year is spent preparing for my workshops. To carve out enough time for blogging would require me to give up sleep and even though I am a night person, it's not really an option while school is in session. Have you ever tried to deal with eighty hormonal 14 years old with little sleep? It would be a recipe for being featured on the 6 o'clock news. "Middle school teacher duct tapes students mouths shut" OR "After falling asleep in class, teacher is duct taped to chair by students" LOL
Fortunately though, this time last year, I reserved a spot at an event called "Escape to Create" in Ft. Pierce and that's where I am this weekend. :) It's been so much fun! I love, love, love being able to get away for some "me" time. Now despite not having much spare time (until yesterday), I did manage to add the following layouts to my "Calendar of Events" earlier this week and thought I'd share them here, along with some sneak peaks of next month's layouts.
Next Friday's scrapbook pages features the Flirty Workshop-on-the-Go and the Autumn Lane Assortment. This paper line is CTMH's fall pack this year and I love that not all the colors, or papers, are "traditional", allowing for so much more versatility.
|The layout is so much prettier in person. I scan my layouts and the thickness of the Autumn Lane flowers (Stick pins with the pins pulled out) causes some blurring. :(|
|Hidden journaling pocket. Cool, huh?|
If you want more information about this workshop and the supplies used, simply click on the "Calendar of Events" tab at the top of this page or here.
Since I arrived at the retreat yesterday, I've managed to complete the two layouts for next month's Clementine scrapbooking workshop. Wanna see? Well, I have to wait until I get home before I can post them, but I can leave you with a sneak peak. (Photos taken with my cell phone, so the colors are off.)
Thanks for stopping by and hopefully it won't be 33 days before you hear from me again. ;)
