February's Stamp of the Month..."Wild About Love"

Welcome to the CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!
February 2014's Stamp of the Month is called.....
****Wild About Love****

With over 50 participants, you are surely to find wonderful inspiration through this blog hop.  It makes a circle so if you are starting here just continue until you make your way back and you will have made it through them all.  If you have already started and are coming from Dawn Ross' blog, "I Am A Happy Stamper", then you are on the right track.

This month is an adorable stamp set that features super hot and trendy foxes.  In looking for inspiration, I found this cute card.  Instead of using branches, I decided to use the tree stump.  Only one problem.  The foxes hiney was too big for the tree (feels like I can  So I decided to MAKE the stump fit the fox by stamping two of them and overlapping them slightly.  If you look close, you can see it, but it's not super least I didn't think so.

Before I adhered the fox and stump down, I rubbed my Topiary ink pad directly on to the bottom right corner of my white daisy cardstock to give the illusion of grass.  Next, I inked just the flower that the fox is holding and created a little flower bunch by the trunk.  I used my Twilight alcohol marker to color in the flowers and a Topiary alcohol marker and black journaling pen to draw in the stems and leaves and a little grass, too.  Afterwards, I stamped the sentiment by inking the stamp and stamping on my desk pad one time and then inking just the bottom half of the sentiment again.

I tried a little wood grain washi tape under the triangle studs and brown sparkles for the eyes, but I didn't like it as much as the version you see here.
