Where Old Meets New

As a Close To My Heart consultant, we are able to order products a month before they are available to customers. This gives a chance to try them out by preparing our projects for upcoming workshops, gatherings, open houses, etc.

In preparing for next month's Cards, Etc. class, I chose to use the new line called Seaside (one of my many faves) and a sketch from Mojo Monday.  I decided to take this opportunity to blend the new product with some products that are retiring soon, just to show you how great Close To My Heart products complement each other, even from one idea book to another.

Here's the card I came up with where old meets new. :)

I'm currently working on a video tutorial to show how to add a design on a solid stamp like was done on the small and large butterflies shown above. Great way to add a little texture to a solid, flat image. (My goal is to have it posted here by Tuesday, so stay tuned for that.) ;)
Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Papers: Seaside B&T (available 8/1/14_ Colonial White Daisy CS, Desert Sand CS
Stamps Used: Your Own Kind of Wonderful
Inks: Desert Sand, Sorbet
Emellishments: Lagoon Zipper Lace, Base & Bling Teal Jewels
Other: Cricut Artiste, Edge Distresser, Bone Folder, Liquid Glass, Microtip Scissors, Paper Trimmer (Fiskars), Scoring Board (Martha Stewart), ATG Adhesive (Scotch)

The beautiful Seaside paper and 'Your Own Kind of Wonderful' stamp set will not be available for purchase until August 1st, so unfortunately this little sneak peak will have to suffice until then. I have some exciting things planned for my blog which I will begin to reveal on August 1st, so be on the lookout for that. Again, here are the two items that are set to retire on July 31st and are on a While Supplies Last status, so grab yours HERE.

Here's the sketch I used at Mojo Monday.

Remember, the specials this month....

Until next time...
