June's Stamp of the Month..."Ice Cream Dream"

Welcome to the CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!
June 2015's Stamp of the Month is called.....
****Ice Cream Dream'****

With 50 participants in this blog hop, you are sure to find lots of great inspiration!  The hop makes a circle, so if you are starting here just continue until you make your way back and you will have made it through them all. If you have already started and are coming from Lisa Plummer's blog, "Flaunt Your Creativity", then you are on the right track.

Tomorrow is my last day with students and Tuesday is my last work day!  Woo hoo!  (At least 'til August, anyway). Even though this school year has been a whole lot better than it's been the last few years, it didn't leave me with a lot of creative time, as I'm sure you can tell with my lack of blog posts over the last school year. When I don't have a lot of time to create, I feel like my creativity gets rusty.  I have a hard time even getting motivated. Then I have a hard time coming up with an idea and even a difficult time getting my ideas to come to fruition.  My creativity flows much better when I have time to create for stretches of time, not just once a month. :( So I used a sketch from Mojo Monday to help me get started and then pulled out some Confetti Wishes paper for the first time.  I'm pleased with my card, but I know it's not my best and not particularly inspiring. Thankfully, there's so many amazing artists on this blog hop, I know that there won't be a lack of inspiration.  The great thing about this set though, is you just can't go wrong.  It's super cute, easy to use and so versatile. Living in Florida (where we eat lots of ice cream all-year-round) and having a daughter who now works in an ice cream shop, I know I'll be using this stamp set over and over.

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Stamps Used: Ice Cream Dream SOTM
Papers:  Confetti Wishes B&T, White Daisy CS, Outdoor Denim CS, Canary CS, Lagoon CS, Thistle CS, Desert Sand CS
Inks: Desert Sand, White Daisy (Pigment), Canary, Lagoon, Thistle, Desert Sand
Emellishments: White Shimmer Trim
Other: Black Journaling Pen, 3D Foam Tape, Microtip Scissors,  Paper Trimmer (Fiskars),  ATG Adhesive (Scotch)

  9. Do not sell yourself short (we are our own worst critics though). This is a fantastic card! I too love the chalkboard background and I like the tone-on-tone for the ice cream rather than a neutral color. Great card. I'd be thrilled to receive it in the mail and so will the person you send it to.
