August's Stamp of the Month...."Framed"

Welcome to the CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!
August 2015's Stamp of the Month is called.....

With 51 participants in this blog hop, you are sure to find lots of wonderful ideas on using Close To My Heart's August Stamp of the Month.  The hop makes a circle, so if you are starting here just continue until you make your way back and you will have made it through them all. If you have already started and are coming from Catherine Nowak's blog, "CatScrapbooking-Creative Inspirations", then you are on the right track.

This August is kind of a unique month for Close To My Heart. Usually, we have a new idea book starting August 1st, but this year the new idea book doesn't begin until September 1st. So that means that this is the last month for the 2014-2015 Annual Inspirations Idea Book and there are a lot of items retiring. Therefore, I decided to create a project that highlights some of those retiring items.

My CAS-style card uses all seven retiring colors: olive, autumn terracotta, barn red, smoky plum, indian corn blue, outdoor denim and ponderosa pine.  It also uses a little bit of the Pathfinding B&T pattern paper, brown & tan glitter paper and brown & tan sparkles.  Really the only thing on my card that is not retiring is the White Daisy cardstock and the Chocolate ink that I used for the frame.

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Stamps Used: Framed SOTM
Papers: Pathfinding B&T, White Daisy CS, Gold Glitter
Inks: Barn Red, Autumn Terracotta, Olive, Ponderosa Pine, Indian Corn Blue, Outdoor Denim, Smoky Plum, Black
Emellishments: Tan Sparkles
Other: Thin 3D Foam Tape, Microtip Scissors, Glue Pen, Bone Folder, Paper Trimmer (Fiskars), ATG Adhesive (Scotch)

Another reason that this month is unique is because CTMH is giving us a sneak peak into the new idea book by releasing several new products.  So this month we have an overlapping of retiring and new product. Neat, huh? Therefore, I thought it would be cool to create another project that would highlight a couple of the newest products. My set of 3x3 cards uses a little of each pattern in the new paper line called Zoe (love that's my puppy dog's name).  The cards also use the newest shimmer trim.
"Funny" story. I decided to use my mini stapler on my cards to give them another little somethin' somethin'. So I picked up my stapler and clicked clicked. Pretty cool. I like it. Next click. Darn! I'm out of staples! Problem is, I can't remember for the life of me where I put my box of staples. Ugh! I KNOW I purchased a box at the time I purchased the stapler, but now I can't find them. Have you ever done that? Well, anyway, this is why only one card has staples.  Now watch me find the box tomorrow.
Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Stamps Used: Framed SOTM
Papers: Zoe B&T, White Daisy CS, Glacier CS, Sorbet CS, Sweet Leaf CS, Canary CS, Whisper CS, Slate CS
Inks: Black
Emellishments: Coral Shimmer Trim, Bitty Sparkles, Mini Staples
Other: Leaf Green ShinHan Touch Twin Marker, Sap Green ShinHan Touch Twin Marker, Thin 3D Foam Tape, Mini Stapler, Microtip Scissors, Bone Folder, Paper Trimmer (Fiskars), ATG Adhesive (Scotch)

Some other new products being released this month include the complements and assortments that coordinate with the Zoe paper pack, as well as a workshop-on-the-go kit.  CTMH is also introducing two new organizers. One is a marker roll-up and the other is an accessory roll-up. Finally, there is a new Cricut collection called Artistry. I don't own this hopefully I'll have it in my hands soon. I would have loved to use it on these cards. Oh well...patience is a virtue, right?
